I’ve worked in hectic design agencies all my adult life, and loved my corporate career.

But becoming a mum to my little girl Gracie shifted me in beautiful - yet hugely disorienting ways.

One day, you’re you—independent, full of passions, routines, and dreams—and the next, you’re someone’s whole world.

Amidst the chaos of nappies, feeds and sleepless nights, you realise you’ve lost a part of yourself. Your energy, your spark, your pink—that inner glow that made you feel vibrant and truly you.

Re-ignighting the fire

Picking up a paintbrush for the first time in over 20 years changed everything. I found my missing joy.

One of my earliest pieces — When Flamingos Dance (still my best seller!) — was a breakthrough for me, both as an artist and as a new mum. I paint for total freedom, and the moment I stepped back from that canvas, I felt it.

When Flamingos Dance became a symbol of finding my colour again. A reminder that the energy and vibrance I once had were still there.

But it also taught me something bigger: I’ll never be exactly the same person I was before. And that’s okay.

The new me has so much more to offer.

It was shortly after creating this piece (and strangely, after I’d already named it!) that I came across the analogy “getting your pink back” - something new mums used to describe reclaiming their identity, energy, and vibrant self, inspired by flamingos that temporarily lose their colour while raising their young.

Find Your Pink was born.

Now, it’s my mission to help others find their true colour again — and to fill my collectors’ homes with freedom, feeling, and unapologetic self-expression.

I had recently had a kitchen renovation, which I love, but I felt that there was something lacking. I had discovered Krissy’s art at her studio exhibition, and I fell in love with her work. I knew that that was what my room was missing.
I contacted Krissy to see if she would be willing to commission some art for me. As my kitchen looks out onto the garden, I specifically wanted the art to reflect the colours, shapes and textures of the plants and flowers in my garden. Krissy visited my home and we discussed what I was looking for. I have to say that it was a little daunting to order a piece of art, which was so personal to me, without having seen it. But upon meeting Krissy, I was immediately struck by her passion and enthusiasm. So I knew that I was in safe hands.
Krissy kept in touch with me throughout the process, and when she finally revealed my paintings, I was blown away. She had perfectly created exactly what I was looking for!
